McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a K-12 Academic Coach. The K-12 Academic Coach supports teachers and district leadership in achieving educational excellence through professional development, curriculum alignment, and evidence-based instructional practices. This role emphasizes collaboration and strategic planning to enhance teacher effectiveness and student outcomes across schools. This is a hybrid position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Applicants must reside in California and be able to travel up to 75% of the time. What you will be doing: Provide individualized coaching to teachers, focusing on instructional strategies, classroom management, and differentiation techniques. Facilitate professional development sessions aligned with district goals and state standards. Observe classroom instruction and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching practices. Support teachers in integrating technology, data-driven instruction, and innovative teaching tools. Assist educators in addressing diverse student needs, including those requiring intervention or enrichment. Work with district leadership to develop and implement curriculum frameworks, instructional policies, and assessment strategies. Analyze district-wide data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in teaching and learning. Coordinate district-wide professional learning communities (PLCs) and collaborative teaching models. Serve as a resource for district administrators in planning and executing school improvement strategies. Act as a liaison between schools, district leadership, and external partners, such as community organizations or education consultants. Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders, including parents, school boards, and community members. Advocate for resources and support to enhance teacher effectiveness and student achievement. We’re looking for someone with: Bachelors Degree Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field (preferred). Valid teaching certification and significant experience in K-12 education (minimum of 5 years). Expertise in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and assessment practices. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in educational technology, data analysis, and professional development tools. Ability to build trust and foster collaboration among teachers, administrators, and stakeholders. Knowledge of state and national education standards, including Common Core or similar frameworks. Experience in designing and delivering professional development programs. Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing district needs. Must be able to travel 50% - 75% of the time. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
