Special Education Teacher - York, Pennsylvania

This contract opportunity is for an onsite special education teacher serving Autistic Support classrooms, with personal care assistants available for additional classroom support. Key Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education (required)
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly valued
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in Autistic Support rooms
• Collaborate with support staff, including personal care assistants, to address individual student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote student growth and independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to families and educational team members
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
• Support a positive classroom environment that emphasizes safety, respect, and student well-being
