Associate Vice President Finance Advocate Clinical Laboratories

Job Overview Department: 13438 Enterprise Corporate - Financial Planning Schedule: Hybrid Role – Monday to Friday Hours per week: 40 Benefits Eligible: Yes Major Responsibilities Oversee all internal and external financial reporting for the joint laboratory and for‑profit lab company, including board presentations, cost allocations, fixed‑asset records, financial statements, and regulatory and compliance filings. Develop and manage the laboratory system's capital and operating budgets. Act as liaison between Advocate and Aurora Finance departments, establishing and maintaining ACL finance policies. Oversee financial reporting and billing for Aurora's for‑profit commercial laboratory customers. Lead negotiations with managed care organizations, vendors, and pathologists. Oversee outreach pricing and sales initiatives across Wisconsin and Illinois. Prepare ACL financial records and regulatory filings. Assist senior management with marketing activities related to financial data. Establish and maintain laboratory pricing for commercial for‑profit customers. Manage inter‑system laboratory billing to other Aurora sites, maintenance of co‑tenancy fixed‑asset records, and external and inter‑company co‑tenancy laboratory disbursements. Perform human resources duties for direct reports: interview, select, promote, develop staff, evaluate performance, adjust compensation, resolve employee concerns, take corrective action, and conduct terminations. Develop and recommend operating and capital budgets, controlling expenditures within approved budget objectives. Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct, and that personal and supervised employee actions comply with applicable policies, regulations, and laws. Qualifications Licensure, registration, or certification: None required. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field. Experience: Typically 15 years in finance or accounting, including at least 10 years of management experience in financial operations management. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Demonstrated success in contract negotiations. Excellent communication skills for interacting with all levels of management inside and outside the organization. Ability to explain complex financial issues to non‑finance managers and the joint laboratory Board. Understanding of healthcare customer operations, including hospitals, physician clinics, and extended care facilities. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Operates all necessary equipment, works in a normal office environment, and is required to travel, exposing the incumbent to weather and road conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
