Major Responsibilities:

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different respiratory illness/diseases and non-respiratory illness.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates, checks, and assembles equipment.
• Completes a variety of bedside treatments.
• Completes in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attending applicable interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follows procedure and protocol of facility.
• Completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.

• Oxygen weaning therapy
• Omniflow – Biofeed back
• Group respiratory therapy.
• Standardized respiratory testing.
• Aerosol therapy
• AccuPAP therapy
• Incentive Spirometry
• Chest physiotherapy
• Deep breathing and coughing
• Bronchial hygiene therapy
• PEP therapy
• Postal Drainage
• Positioning
• Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning
• Airway clearance/management techniques
• Trachea-bronchial suctioning
• Tracheostomy care
• Mechanical ventilator
• Spirometry bedside testing
• CPAP/BIPAP
• High-flow oxygen
• CHF program
• Cardiac program
• Pulmonary program
• Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.
