Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• AS completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - South Atlantic Division.

Additional Details:

Preferred Credentials: - Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Special Requests: - Open to block scheduling of Friday/Saturday/Sunday if interested.

Unit Details: - With 2 therapists, 1 RT assigned to MST/ED and the other RT assigned to ICU/PCU/LDRP. With 3 therapists, assignments are divided further depending on census and acuity. - Uses Hamilton C6 and PB 980 vents, Vapotherm, Airvo, V60 BiPAP, and Bubble CPAP. - Procedures include ABGs, oxygen nebs, vent management, BiPAP management, home O2 qualifications, CPT vest, HiFlo management, Bubble CPAP, and EKGs. - RTs cannot currently intubate; competency checkoff in progress.

Shift & Scheduling: - Minimum of every other weekend expectation.

10 days maximum time off

1 reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
