Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of OR experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a hospital Operating Room position in Normal, IL. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology OR Certificate of completion from a Surgical Technology program BLS certification from the American Heart Association IDPH Fingerprinting required Epic EMR experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Proficiency in sterile technique and principles of asepsis Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology as applied to surgical patient care Familiarity with electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, and lasers in a surgical setting License required if applicable Responsibilities Hospital Operating Room (OR) setting Day shift schedule, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM 40 hours per week, 5 days per week Weekend and holiday coverage on a rotation basis No floating requirements Functions as first, second, or assisting Surgical Technologist under RN supervision during the intraoperative period Provides age-specific care to obstetrical patients in accordance with department policies and procedures Participates in room turnover, set‑up, and coordination of supplies and equipment Performs sterilization and disinfection procedures and documents loads per policy Maintains and cleans equipment and identifies items needing repair Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
