Client Service Representative

Job Overview Client Service Representative at VCA All Pets Animal Hospital of Salinas is searching for an experienced and personable professional to join our team. The practice offers general care, urgent care, emergency services, grooming, and boarding. The CSR is the face of VCA and sets the tone for the practice. Responsibilities Customer service functions, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms. Scheduling and confirming appointments. Placing outbound calls for follow‑ups and reaching out to prospective clients. Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments. Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions. Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non‑medical pet care (e.g., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, flea & tick control). Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence. Hospital maintenance (removal of animal waste) and ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside. Qualifications Experience in the veterinary field or a strong customer service background is required. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay of $18.00 to $25.00.
