Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Veteran Disability Examinations Up to $700 per Day

Location: Paducah, Kentucky and surrounding areas within a 25-mile radius
Schedule: Per diem, three days per week
Pay: Up to $700 per day
Patient Volume: Approximately four to five Veterans per day

We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) disability examinations for Veterans in the Paducah, Kentucky area.

This is an examination-only position. There is no treatment, prescribing, or ongoing patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will review medical records, discuss the Veteran s relevant medical history and current symptoms, conduct focused physical examinations, and complete the required Disability Benefits Questionnaire documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused medical disability examinations for Veterans
• Review medical records and claim-related information before appointments
• Obtain and document relevant medical histories and current symptoms
• Conduct physical assessments based on the conditions being evaluated
• Accurately complete structured reports and Disability Benefits Questionnaires
• Submit documentation promptly and respond to clarification requests as needed
• Provide a professional, respectful, and Veteran-centered examination experience

Schedule and Compensation

• Per-diem opportunity scheduled three days per week
• Compensation of up to $700 per day
• Approximately four to five Veterans scheduled per day
• Appointments generally require minutes for the examination and documentation
• Scheduling and administrative support provided
• No office ownership or personal clinical space required

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Kentucky Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Current national board certification
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience
• Ability to complete required credentialing and background-screening requirements
• Strong physical-assessment and clinical-documentation skills
• Reliable availability for three days per week
• Ability to work within 25 miles of Paducah, Kentucky

Training is provided on the C&P examination process, electronic documentation system, and Disability Benefits Questionnaire requirements.
