Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: The Sentinel of Port Jervis

Pay: $20–$25 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The Sentinel of Port Jervis is looking for a reliable and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. This role is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring high cleanliness standards, and supporting the housekeeping staff with scheduling, training, and daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support housekeeping staff on daily assignments

• Inspect resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met

• Train new housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols

• Manage schedules and assist with staff coverage when needed

• Order and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory

• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines

• Work closely with other departments to address cleaning needs and resident concerns

• Step in and assist with cleaning duties when needed

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping experience required

• Supervisory experience preferred, especially in assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare settings

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation, and safety procedures
