Senior Mechanical EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of high-speed rotating equipment and centrifugal compressor systems. You will own mechanical design efforts across rotor systems, pressure-containing components, and auxiliary systems while supporting analysis, manufacturability, and testing. This is an opportunity to work on high-reliability, mission-critical rotating equipment and be exposed to complex engineering challenges in design, manufacturing, and testing.ResponsibilitiesLead the design of centrifugal compressor systems and major components.Design high-speed rotating assemblies, pressure casings, and structures.Perform engineering analysis including rotor dynamics, stress, fatigue, and thermal performance.Conduct vibration and modal analysis, and bearing load calculations.Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings with GD&T.Define specifications for bearings, seals, lubrication systems, and instrumentation.Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers on machining, balancing, and material selection.Support prototype builds and testing, including overspeed, hydrostatic, leak, and run testing.Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot failures.Ensure compliance with standards such as API, UL, and IEC.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in turbomachinery or compressor design.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Proficiency in designing mechanical systems, preferably for pressure equipment and rotating equipment.Understanding of rotor dynamics, bearings and seal systems, and pressure vessels/piping systems.Experience with CAD and FEA tools.Ability to create manufacturing drawings and specifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ANSYS, MATLAB, SolidWorks, and vibration analysis software.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is engineering-driven with collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams.
