Maintenance Technician

Job Description: Maintain, troubleshoot and repair controls, drives, electronic motor devices, sensors, pumps, ovens, industrial machinery, conduit systems, & emergency lighting systems. Responsibilities: * Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs following a scheduled PM program and as needed to keep the plant operational. * Troubleshoot; routinely inspect equipment and electro-pneumatic controls as necessary on automated equipment.

• Knowledge of gas burner systems is beneficial.
• Report to Maintenance Manager on equipment condition and status as necessary.
• Assist in installation of all new equipment including electrical, mechanical,

pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems. * Work overtime, as necessary, including on other shifts as well as being on call during periods. * Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing equipment to perform maintenance activities.

• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Reduce machine downtime; improve throughput and overall performance of

machines. * Maintain/build preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations, etc. * Meets established expectations and takes responsibility for achieving results; encourages others to do the same.

• Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills Needed:

• Proficient in reading work instructions.
• Must possess a sense of urgency on troubleshooting and repairing equipment

for minimal downtime.

• Possess excellent project/assignment completion record.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to carry through self-directed projects and continuous improvement

efforts.

General Qualifications: * Three years Industrial Maintenance Experience in a manufacturing facility (Preferred).

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Thorough Knowledge and Practice of LOTO.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work form heights using ladders and aerial lift devices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout a work shift.
• Ability to stand/walk constantly throughout a work shift.
• Ability to squat, bend/twist at waist, knees and neck, frequently.
• Ability to use both hands simultaneously exerting push/pull force of up to

125 lbs. frequently.

• Frequent reaching/handling/grasping.
• Ability to climb; work in awkward and sometimes cramped positions
• Ability to use hand and power tools in shop area.
