Pet Memorial Operations Specialist

Job Location: Trusted Journey Pet Memorial, 2600 Todd Dr, Madison, WI 53713 Pay Rate: $20/hr Work Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm (40 hrs/week) Job Overview The Operations Team Member reports to the Operations Care Center Manager and performs various duties including operating the retort, creating and packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, and processing and packaging cremated remains. The role works within a close-knit team at a care center. Duties & Responsibilities Operate the retort and handle day-to-day duties such as creating & packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, quality control, and processing cremated remains. Assist with pick-ups & deliveries using a company vehicle to veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, and pet parent homes when needed. Maintain daily cremation goals, producing cremains with compassion and excellence. Monitor equipment, submit maintenance requests, and make adjustments as needed. Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting. Clean and maintain cremation equipment (e.g., machines that grind bones into powder). Follow safety procedures to protect self and others from hazardous materials or dust particles. Perform other duties assigned. Education, Training & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 12 months experience in a service industry. Valid driver’s license may be required. Skills & Abilities Passion for pets: caring, patient, kind, empathetic. Working Conditions Regular bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, sitting, repetitive motion, hand/wrist/finger motion. Regular lifting/moving 100+ lbs. Exposure to elevated noise and heat levels.
