Position: Cook (PRN) Location: Joplin, Missouri Wage range: $16.00 - $22.25 per hour Shift schedule: Varies Responsibilities Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, providing exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion. Ensure health protocols are followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures. Familiarize yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs; participate in resident orientations. Qualifications Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents. Must possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health. Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision. Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff. Must be physically active: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping all day. Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers. Must be able to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events.
