About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent experience in a critical care setting required. Must have 2 years of overall experience. License: IN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RRT. Must-Have: Written confirmation that traveler is comfortable and aware of the every other weekend requirement. Description: Prescreening questions include written confirmation of weekend requirements. Floating between multiple facilities is required. Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. Candidates must have experience with adult critical care procedures and settings. Skills required include knowledge of aerosol setup, bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP), high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), and tracheostomy care. Candidates will assist with airway management techniques such as intubation and extubation. Travelers will also facilitate care procedures such as sputum specimen collection and weaning from mechanical ventilation. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Local residents may be subject to additional eligibility rules regarding travel assignments. All positions require compliance with regional and facility-specific regulations.
