What You'll Do

• Provide expert care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients
• Circulate on C-Sections and triage outpatient cases
• Administer Magnesium Sulfate Therapy and other medications
• Support postpartum hemorrhage care, blood administration, and Jada device management
• Assist with inductions using Balloon, Cytotec, and Pitocin
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Serve as charge nurse and support staff as needed

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Louisiana RN license or eligible for licensure
• 1+ year of recent labor & delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, FHM certifications
• Skilled in handling laboring patients, Cesarean circling, triage, and postpartum care

Preferred:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and GE Centricity Perinatal systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment

This position is at a high-level Level 3 NICU with Birth Ready designation, located at a facility that is acute stroke ready and has 85 licensed beds. The unit emphasizes family-centered care, supporting antepartum, labor, and postpartum patients with a supportive team environment. Orientation includes hospital overview followed by two dedicated shifts on the unit.
