IT Project Manager

Technical Project ManagerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role involves managing infrastructure design and delivery for the Global Information Security portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a strong project leader, responsible for the end-to-end management of complex projects in a fast-paced environment, heavily utilizing Agile Scrum skills and Jira tools.Responsibilities:Act as the project's primary point of contactObtain and align resources to key project roles; establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilitiesLead daily meetings consisting of the project team and partnersRemove delivery impediments and focus on the activities and progress of the service delivery teamLead project execution, integration and implementationEnsure Quality Assurance and that all applicable change requirements are satisfiedDefine project milestones and socialize to business partnersEnsure milestone dates are met by driving execution of tasksHold resources accountable to agreed-to task completion datesEngage technical resources and define their scope of workManage risk and mitigation planningEnsure change management process adherenceProvide timely and routine updates in Jira in regard to project status, accomplishments and next stepsEscalate project risks and issues to managementEstablish and maintain relationships with technical partnersManage project go-live events, which may require occasional night and weekend hoursRequirements:10+ years of experience in Technical Project ManagementStrong background with Agile frameworks, Scrum, and JiraExperience managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects with matrixed resourcesKnowledge of infrastructure technologies (server hosting, storage, network, database, middleware, traffic management, DMZ)Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPointProven ability to manage the successful execution of technical solutions across multiple teamsExcellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadersStrong interpersonal skills and ability to proactively engage business and technology leadersKeen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountabilityDesired Skills:Project delivery experience within a similar large-scale enterprise environmentInformation Security knowledgePay range: $50.39 - $58.39 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
