We are currently seeking a Staff Technician 2, Water Treatment Operator to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This position entails travel to job sites and working outside of the office setting 95% of the time conducting field work on environmental projects. This is a full-time position based out of our Phoenix, AZ office.Duties/Responsibilities In this position, you will:Perform site reconnaissance to observe existing conditions, assess site access for subsurface explorations, and identify important site features.Monitor subsurface exploration activities that include the use of test boring and geoprobe rigs and machine excavated test pits to gather soil, groundwater, and soil vapor samples.Perform groundwater sampling.Conduct construction monitoring of environmental remediation projects.Prepare detailed notes and take photographs to document the procedures used and observations made during field work and/or construction monitoring.Perform operation and maintenance activities on remediation and or monitoring equipment.Participate in team meetings.Coordinate scheduling with contractors and subcontractors.Coordinate with internal Haley & Aldrich team members on a daily basis.Adhere to Site Specific Health and Safety Plans prepared for each project site. Participate in site safety briefings and audits by both contractors and Haley & Aldrich.Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.Skills/Experience Minimum Skills and Requirements:Associate degree in a technical specialty such as environmental science, or trade such as electrical or mechanical preferred3-5 years of related field experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Basic Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities.Must possess a valid driver's license.Must have a reliable form of transportation.Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.Ability to travel to job sites and on temporary assignments as needed.Must comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.Must comply with company and client Health & Safety protocols.Preferred Skills:Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training or 10-hour OSHA Construction training.Haley & Aldrich is committed to solving our clients' most meaningful challenges in the built and natural environments.
