Registered Nurse – Seasonal Vaccination Clinic

Pay Rate: $47.78/hr.
Location: 1008 West Garfield Avenue, Bartonville, IL 61607
Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 25–40 hours per week
Position Type: Part-Time Seasonal

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to support a seasonal vaccination clinic. The RN will provide immunizations to patients in a retail pharmacy setting while maintaining a high standard of patient care, safety, and professionalism.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, interacting with patients, and administering vaccines in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations safely and efficiently according to established clinical guidelines.
• Provide vaccines such as Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended immunizations .
• Screen patients prior to vaccination and identify any concerns that require additional assessment.
• Educate patients regarding vaccines, including potential side effects and aftercare instructions.
• Monitor patients following vaccination and respond appropriately to adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate and complete vaccination documentation.
• Follow all infection-control, safety, and clinical protocols.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vaccination area.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical nursing experience preferred/required based on program requirements.
• Current CPR/BLS certification .
• Immunization/vaccination experience preferred.
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following established clinical protocols.
• Comfortable administering multiple types of vaccines.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Professional and patient-focused demeanor.

Schedule Requirements

• Monday–Friday
• Shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Must be available to work approximately 25–40 hours per week .
