About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the entire finance function, including FP&A, accounting, treasury, capital markets, audit, tax, and board reporting. This role demands a close partnership with the CEO on financial strategy, investor relations, and future financings. The VP of Finance will be a key player in the company's growth, with a focus on financial planning and reporting, operating model, budget, and capital allocation analysis. They will also be tasked with building and maintaining financial controls, managing external partners, and leading a high-performing finance team. Applicants must have a background in insurance or insurtech, with a preference for those with experience in MGA, program business, carrier, or reinsurance. The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years' experience in finance, including a senior or #2 finance leader role at a high-growth company, and a function-builder mindset. The role requires a professional who can seamlessly transition between strategic finance and operational detail, with a strong understanding of debt, treasury, and reinsurance. High judgment, low ego, and excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with founders and boards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
