HR Manager

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Manager for an established and innovative manufacturing organization . This is an onsite opportunity in Brisbane, California .

POSITION OVERVIEW


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead the human resources function for a dynamic manufacturing site. The HR Manager will serve as the primary HR partner for employees and leadership, providing strategic and hands-on support across employee relations, compliance, talent initiatives, and day-to-day HR operations. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who enjoys building strong relationships, driving positive workplace culture, and supporting business success within a regulated operational environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary onsite HR leader, partnering with managers and employees to support organizational goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, performance management, conflict resolution, coaching, policy interpretation, and compliance with California employment laws.
• Partner with operational leadership to support workplace safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices.
• Oversee talent acquisition support, onboarding, workforce planning, employee development, retention, and engagement initiatives.
• Evaluate and enhance HR policies, programs, and processes to improve operational effectiveness and ensure compliance.
• Build trusted relationships across the organization while serving as a strategic advisor to leaders and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience leading human resources within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, life sciences, or other highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law, employee relations, workplace investigations, and HR compliance.
• Experience partnering closely with operational leaders in an onsite HR role supporting a production or operations environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, workplace safety practices, and compliance within a regulated organization.
• Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build credibility across all levels of an organization.
