Health Information Release Specialist

Ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, the full-time Health Information Release Specialist will process release of information requests, safeguard patient confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service in a hybrid role combining onsite and remote work. Key responsibilities Validates requests for information, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies Logs and processes requests using OnBase and EPIC systems, maintaining accurate records Communicates effectively with customers regarding the status of requests and the release process Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 0-1 years of experience in healthcare or customer service Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy rights Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health information record systems Ability to read and comprehend medical terminology and related regulations
