Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner Position in Myrtle Beach SC with PTO

A leading healthcare system in the Myrtle Beach, SC region is recruiting a Nocturnist NP to join its inpatient care team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital campus. Compensation, Schedule & Requirements

This full-time role offers a strong salary based on experience along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), HSA, PTO, and a $2,500 CME allowance.

Schedule: 84 hours bi-weekly (7 night shifts every 2 weeks, 12 hours each)

No call

Patient load: ~12 patients per shift

Candidates must be a certified NP with BLS & ACLS and at least 1 year of inpatient experience . Success in this role requires confidence working independently overnight, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication skills.

About the Role

The Nocturnist NP provides 100% inpatient overnight care, balancing autonomy with strong collaboration. You will work closely with on-site physicians, ED clinicians, nurses, and support staff to manage admissions and ongoing patient needs.

Responsibilities include managing admissions, performing physical exams, assessing acute conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians. The role also involves coordinating discharges, maintaining timely documentation, and delivering consistent, patient-centered care.

Practice Environment

This is a well-supported night shift setting with:

• Two physicians on-site
• Full nursing and clerical support
• No ICU and no procedural requirements
• Emergency physicians assist with codes, and additional physician support is available from nearby campuses, allowing the NP to practice independently with confidence.

Training & Onboarding

A structured 6-week orientation includes shadowing, hands-on training, and guided support to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
