Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility is designed to offer cutting-edge therapies and support to individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our dedicated team comprises skilled professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). We are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care and enhancing the rehabilitation experience.

Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Danville, providing a collaborative and dynamic work environment. You will work alongside a team of professionals in a facility tailored to athletic and orthopedic care, equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies and therapy tools. The standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, catering to a well-structured organization that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs and objectives to develop individualized treatment plans that maximize effectiveness.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, treating one individual per hour to provide focused and personalized care.
• Utilize clinical expertise to deliver cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring movement and mobility.
• Employ manual therapy techniques and develop effective exercise regimens to facilitate recovery and improve physical function.
• Encourage patients to explore non-surgical alternatives to pain management, emphasizing evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches for patients.
• Monitor patient progress through evaluations and open communication, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Document all treatments and interactions using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Guide patients in creating fitness and wellness plans tailored to their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Motivate and encourage patients to remain engaged in their therapy, fostering a supportive and motivating atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary or board actions on file.
• Proven manual therapy skills and proficiency in formulating effective therapeutic exercise plans.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, ensuring efficient patient record management.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and patient-centered outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Prior clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Strong track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Experience in developing and implementing fitness programs tailored to individual patient criteria.

Compensation and Benefits
