Certified Ophthalmology Technician Full Time DaysThe Technician, Certified Ophthalmic reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.The Technician, Certified Ophthalmic is primarily responsible for technical, clinical support and patient care for various physicians and sub-specialists in the department of ophthalmology. This includes various tests to be performed as well as supporting physicians as their needs arise. Acts as liaison between patients and physicians, answering questions and providing educational assistance.ResponsibilitiesPhysician exam work-ups. Documentation requirements per physician expectations and special testing.Ancillary testing, fields, biometries, glasses checks, etc.Patient Communication, messages, pre-post operative teaching and communication and instruction, telephone triage.Surgical instrument preparation, cleaning and maintenance. Equipment maintenance and room preparation.
