Job Description Key Responsibilities Maintain bookkeeping records for multiple business clientsRecord and categorize financial transactions accuratelyPerform monthly bank and credit card reconciliationsMaintain the general ledger and investigate discrepanciesPrepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reportsManage Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableRecord payroll transactions and reconcile payroll reportsAssist with payroll processing and payroll-related accounting as neededReview client books for accuracy, completeness and proper account classificationIdentify missing information, unusual transactions and bookkeeping discrepanciesPerform year-end bookkeeping cleanup and prepare books for tax return preparationAssist CPAs with schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for tax preparationCommunicate professionally with clients to obtain missing documents and resolve bookkeeping questionsMaintain organized electronic client files and documentationFollow firm procedures, deadlines and confidentiality requirementsAssist with other accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed Company Description We are a well-established, busy accounting firm in San Antonio with over 20 years of experience in providing tax, bookkeeping, and payroll services to a wide range of clients.
