This opportunity is based on a CNC Machinist career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Job DutiesSet up and operate CNC lathes, including Haas and/or Okuma equipmentLoad and unload materials and toolingSet machine offsets and make necessary adjustmentsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructionsMonitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain qualityInspect completed parts using precision measuring instrumentsPerform tool changes and make appropriate machine adjustmentsIdentify and troubleshoot basic machining issuesMaintain accurate production and quality standardsKeep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirementsFollow all company safety and quality proceduresEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required.Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.Experience RequirementsExperience operating, setting up, or programming CNC machine tools.Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.Understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.Strong attention to detail, mathematical ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.3–5 years of CNC lathe experience requiredExperience operating Haas and/or Okuma CNC lathesStrong understanding of CNC turning and machining processesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawingsExperience setting offsets and making tooling adjustmentsProficient with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments as neededReliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independentlyPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Lathe Operator.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.BenefitsCompetitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Life Insurance and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.Modern Manufacturing Environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement."They give you exposure to great jobs you never knew existed." – Machine Operator, StaffmarkTired of searching?
