Supply Chain Management Internship

nVent’s Supply Chain Management Internship will provide the opportunity to support a variety of facets of the supply management function, gaining exposure and valuable development experiences within a global manufacturing organization. This is a 12-week full-time internship during summer 2027.

We offer several internship opportunities within our Supply Chain organization, which are organized into two career tracks based on the nature of the work and development experience. The internship will fall within the below tracks.

Track 1: Materials & Sourcing, you will get to:

Roles: Materials Planner Intern, Materials Analyst Intern, Sourcing Intern

• Participate in inventory analytics and tool building/improvements to support inventory optimization goals

• Track weekly and monthly KPI actuals versus goals for your segment

• Assist in ERP improvement projects that strengthen MRP across multiple systems

• Drive delivery performance improvements through analytics and tool enhancements

• Support the monthly SIOP reporting cadence

• Assist in integration activities

• Support PFEP/Kanban implementation

• Perform ad‑hoc data analysis and reporting

• Help identify areas of growth and concern, and contribute to projects that address them

Track 2: Operations & Logistics, you will get to:

Roles: Logistics Business Analyst Intern and Operations Intern

• Participate in global logistics aligned systems (ERP, WMS and TMS) integrations, implementations, and support initiatives.

• Drive business process optimization through automation, system enhancements, and data governance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver enhancements to Logistics systems.

• Participate in digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, customer experience, and organizational performance.

• Support logistics process enhancements across the globe

Internship Details

• Interns are paid $22 per hour

• Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work

• Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance may be offered a subsequent internship or full-time offer of employment with nVent

You Have:

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or operations management.

• Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028

• Ability to complete a 12-week full-time summer internship from June – August 2027.

• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills

• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization

• Energy to listen, desire to learn and ability to be resilient and adaptable through change

• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see things through to completion

• Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools (Tableau, SQL, Python, Power BI etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated leadership experience

• Previous internship or related experience
