Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Comprehensive Medical Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | No call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Comprehensive Medical Unit with a primary focus on medical-surgical patients
• Float between various Med-Surg units as needed, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation units
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings accurately and consistently
• Document patient care activities and clinical assessments using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry — competency will be assessed on day one
• Current proficiency in Epic EMR — must be fully independent; refresher training or one-on-one support will not be provided

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple Med-Surg specialty units such as Oncology, Cardiac, or Stroke
• Prior travel nursing experience in a similar acute care setting
