What You'll Be Taking On

As an Access Control Maintenance Mechanic, you'll work with a traveling team installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing security gates, fencing, and automated access control systems across the country.

Your work will include:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues with automated gates and access control equipment.

• Performing low-voltage electrical work, including wiring gate operators, motors, sensors, keypads, and access control systems.

• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, blueprints, and project specifications.

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing security gates, fencing, and access control components.

• Performing preventative maintenance to keep systems operating safely and efficiently.

• Using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, to diagnose wiring and component issues.

• Working with concrete, welding, and heavy equipment as needed.

• Safely loading, securing, and transporting tools, materials, and equipment.

• Communicating project progress and working closely with your crew and project managers.

• Maintaining safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
