Role Description The Medical Laboratory Scientist is a full-time, on-site role located in Battle Mountain, NV. This role is responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Daily tasks include preparing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, validating test results, and documenting findings in the laboratory information system. The Medical Laboratory Scientist collaborates with physicians and clinical staff to clarify test orders, report critical values, and ensure timely turnaround of results. The role also involves participating in quality assurance activities, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Medical Technology knowledge and experience with diagnostic testing platforms and methodologies. Candidates should possess advanced Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, test performance, and instrument maintenance. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Laboratory Medicine and its role in clinical decision-making and patient care. Candidates should possess familiarity with Pathology principles related to interpreting laboratory data and identifying abnormal results. Candidates should possess experience with Quality Control procedures, proficiency testing, and compliance with regulatory standards. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field; certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred. Ability to work accurately under time constraints, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
