Java AWS Developer - React & Kafka

Location: NY / NJ / DE
Job Type: Contract / Full-Time

Job Overview

We are looking for a Java AWS Developer with strong experience in React, Kafka, and cloud-native application development . The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services and responsive frontend applications while leveraging AWS cloud services.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Java / J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
Hands-on experience with React / React.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture
Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud deployments
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle and Agile development
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices
Build responsive and reusable React components
Develop and maintain Kafka-based event-driven applications
Deploy and support applications on AWS
Collaborate with frontend, backend, DevOps, and QA teams
Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support
Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and highly available

Preferred

Experience with AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
Financial services/banking experience is a plus
Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture
