Biology Adjunct

Position Title Biology Adjunct – Full or Part Time, FLSA Exempt Location Chesterfield (Chester or Midlothian campus), Virginia Pay Range $793–$1,693 per credit hour. Overview Brightpoint Community College is a two‑year public institution located in the Greater Richmond area. The College provides quality educational opportunities and serves students on the Chester and Midlothian campuses, online, and in the surrounding community. Responsibilities Teach traditional delivery courses in Biology, including General Biology I & II, Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology for Health Science, and General Environmental Science. Prepare and deliver effective instructional materials on either the Chester or Midlothian campus. Assist with ancillary duties as assigned, including emergency response tasks when required. Qualifications Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the relevant discipline. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Prior postsecondary teaching experience preferred. Proficiency with instructional technologies. Additional Information Maximum teaching load: 8 credit hours (summer), 12 credit hours (fall & spring). May be required to travel by state vehicle only if needed. No supervisory responsibilities.
