Details Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU & Post-Partum areas 24 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage supporting low and high risk L&D patients Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30 4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday) Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts May be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift Floating to Perinatal required as needed Uses Epic and eMD Allscripts charting systems Uses SBAR communication and Omnicell systems Requirements Active California RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2.5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Epic experience required Recent experience performing sterile vaginal exams and managing high-risk patients required Knowledge of the CMQCC Category II algorithm required Advanced fetal monitoring experience required Experience with external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns required Experience circulating for C-sections required References required for consideration Additional Information Provide nursing care across triage, LDR, OR, and post-partum areas for low and high risk obstetric patients Collaborate with OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia teams First-time travelers are welcome to apply Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis Local candidates accepted at the travel rate RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application and cannot exceed 3 days No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed approval Must work most holidays Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor American Traveler Job ID P-771373.
