Job Description Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Buyer to report to the Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end procurement, supplier coordination, and material planning to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time delivery in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is based at our warehouse in Culver City, CA, with a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of three onsite days per week. Responsibilities Take full ownership of the procurement process from demand planning through purchase order execution and post‑delivery follow‑through. Analyze material requirements to support production, inventory levels, and forecasts for timely procurement. Create and manage purchase requisitions and orders ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules. Monitor and expedite open orders to meet production deadlines. Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Shipping to support manufacturing and resolve material shortages. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, lead times, delivery commitments, and service levels. Track supplier performance, resolve delivery, quality, and supply chain issues, and elevate critical concerns to management. Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, returns, and non‑conforming materials. Maintain accurate procurement records, ERP/MRP data, and inventory parameters. Identify cost‑saving and process‑improvement opportunities. Support new product introductions by sourcing components and coordinating supplier readiness. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and follow‑up abilities with strong prioritization. Capable of independent work and ownership in a fast‑paced environment. Production scheduling experience required. Ability to work well with all levels of the organization. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to federal contract requirements. Background check and drug test clearance required. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Familiarity with BOM structures, MRP/ERP systems, and manufacturing planning processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting tools. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Office environment. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching, kneeling or squatting for lower shelves. Compensation Annual salary range: $75,000 – $85,000.
