Financial Data Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analytics/Data Analyst to join a long-term contract opportunity in Dallas, Texas within the energy and natural resources sector. This position will focus on preparing, organizing, and validating critical business data to support a large-scale enterprise implementation, while partnering with both business and technical teams to maintain accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, hands-on data migration experience, and the communication skills needed to guide data-related activities from planning through execution.Responsibilities:• Examine legacy data sources to identify migration needs, data dependencies, and conversion priorities for the new enterprise platform.• Prepare data for migration by performing cleansing, standardization, mapping, and transformation activities to improve quality and usability.• Coordinate extraction, load, and reconciliation efforts to confirm that converted data is complete, accurate, and aligned with business expectations.• Work closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and external implementation partners to investigate discrepancies and resolve data-related issues efficiently.• Assist with test cycles, trial conversions, and cutover readiness activities to support a smooth transition into production.• Create and maintain clear documentation for migration logic, validation rules, workflows, and internal controls.• Monitor data quality throughout the project lifecycle and help uphold governance, integrity, and compliance standards.• Use analytical and reporting tools to evaluate migration results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to project teams.
