Veterinarian

Overview Summerfields Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, animal‑loving veterinarian to join our team. This role focuses on small animal and exotic patient care in a well‑established AAHA‑certified practice located in North Fort Worth, Texas. Responsibilities Provide exam‑room preventive and sick‑patient diagnostics and treatments for small animals and exotics. Perform advanced surgeries and procedures such as laparoscopic‑assisted OVAs, gastropexies, cystotomies, and dental procedures including endodontic care. Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (fluoroscopy, CT 3‑D, ultrasonography, radiology, endoscopy) and surgical equipment (ICU, lasers, underwater treadmill). Collaborate with board‑certified specialists for complex cases. Participate in regular doctor meetings, case rounding, and on‑call patient monitoring. Mentor and receive coaching through a structured mentorship program. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Board certification or willingness to pursue advanced specialty training. Strong client communication skills and passion for improving animal welfare. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of veterinarians and technicians.
