You'll align with clients' sophisticated financial needs, investment objectives, and the organization's strategies, while actively building the client base through networking, community involvement, and exceptional relationship management.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How you'll succeedManage client relationships - Oversee a portfolio to ensure client retention and business growth while aligning with client investment objectives and organizational policies.Expand your portfolio - Acquire new high-net-worth clients with complex financial needs by engaging in targeted business development activities and collaborating with Business Development Officers.Drive profitability - Achieve revenue goals, control expenses, and monitor profit performance, taking corrective actions as necessary.Deliver exceptional service - Foster a service culture by leveraging expertise in investment and wealth advisory services to provide best-in-class relationship management.Engage in client events - Actively participate in client-focused events to enhance business development efforts and strengthen relationships.Collaborate effectively - Build strong internal partnerships to deliver seamless, professional, and timely client service.Ensure compliance - Implement and maintain effective operational and compliance risk controls.Who you areYou have an educational background. You hold a bachelor’s degree and/or advanced certifications such as MBA, CFA, CPA, CFP, or JD.You bring wealth management expertise. You have 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, wealth management, personal tax, or financial planning.You possess investment knowledge. You have a comprehensive understanding of investment products and strategies to address the needs of sophisticated high-net-worth clients.You are financially savvy. You demonstrate strong financial analysis skills to provide expert advice on complex and high-value client relationships.You're a relationship builder. You excel in building and maintaining relationships, with the ability to make persuasive recommendations tailored to client needs.You're a confident communicator. You thrive in presenting to small or large groups, with excellent writing skills to craft professional proposals and presentations.You're a strategic negotiator. You leverage advanced negotiating and influencing skills to identify opportunities for business development.You're service oriented. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.​California residents — your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employment At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package.  This role has an expected salary range of $200,000- $250,000 for the Tampa, FL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.  The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
