Responsibilities This position is responsible for providing consumers such as clinical staff and patients with accurate, up-to-date information regarding products, services, and general procedures. Scheduling & Registration Coordinators will also be responsible for: Scheduling return appointments and/or other appointments as assigned. Assuring accurate appointment, demographic and insurance information is gathered to support clinical and financial needs including changes to insurance or other patient information. Providing support to physicians and consumers by coordinating their requests. Solving routine and complex customer problems and instructing them on where to address specific questions. Communicating regularly with clinical staff, medical secretaries, and staff within the product/service line to ensure customer and department staff needs are met. We ask that our Scheduling & Registration Coordinators always contribute a positive first impression to each patient and family care member that walks through the door. To excel in this position, you should be able to use a variety of software packages which include the Electronic Medical Record, scheduling and registration systems, ABN, eligibility, document management software, etc. Required Qualifications We require a High School Diploma or GED. PC knowledge and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication are recommended, as well as a minimum of six months of experience in customer service or a healthcare environment. Experience with Windows, Excel, and intranet/internet navigation tools, medical terminology, coding, and third-party reimbursement experience is preferred. Additional Qualifications Ability to work in multiple systems for assigned tasks, management and reporting. Strong problem-solving and presentation skills. High level of customer service skills. Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a lively environment.
