About the Company INEOS Energy is the energy division of INEOS, producing and trading oil, gas, power, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and carbon credits. The US Onshore business acquires, explores, and develops properties to produce natural gas, oil, and NGL, primarily in the Eagle Ford shale basin. Job Title EDS Lineman Summary Responsible for maintaining and repairing a 25 kV overhead and underground power line system that supplies power to oil and gas operations. Primary Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution lines. Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related machinery. Assist in supervising construction and maintenance crews for 25 kV power line systems. Coordinate outage repairs and processes for safe and reliable re‑energizing. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of power lines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Patrol lines, identify, repair, or replace defective equipment, and correct unsafe conditions. Collaborate with utility workers, engineers, and contractors to complete projects efficiently and safely. Work with Electrical Engineers to develop designs and material lists for new and expanding electrical distribution system projects. Respond to emergency outages and perform necessary repairs promptly and safely. Ensure compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time tracking. Act as substitute for Lead Lineman during their days off and PTO. Perform physical tasks such as climbing power poles as required. Be on call and available for after‑hours, holidays, and weekend work as needed. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience. Valid Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience preferred. Proficiency in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required. Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations. Physical ability to perform duties, including working at heights and in various weather conditions. Training in pole climbing, pole‑top rescue, and raising the ability to perform repairs from climbing.
