Job Title: Reliability Engineer Job Description

The Reliability Engineer will support the performance, reliability, and maintenance of natural gas compressor station equipment across the pipeline system. This role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, analyzing asset performance data, leading reliability improvement initiatives, and serving as a technical resource for operations and maintenance teams. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to improve equipment availability, reduce downtime, and optimize compressor station performance.

• Monitor the performance of compressors, engines, turbines, and supporting equipment.
• Analyze performance and failure data to identify equipment problems before they cause outages.
• Improve reliability, uptime, and efficiency through strategic maintenance approaches.
• Lead root cause investigations when equipment fails and develop maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, controls, and IT teams to enhance asset performance.
• Conduct field visits to investigate failures, support troubleshooting, verify equipment performance, and work directly with operations and maintenance teams.
• Support the specification, evaluation, installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of mechanical equipment and control systems.
• Lead or participate in equipment reliability and efficiency improvement projects.
• Develop technical reports, engineering studies, specifications, and project documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (preferably in electrical, automation, or mechanical).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in compressor station projects, including installation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of 2-cycle, 4-cycle, and turbine engine operations and their associated control systems.
• Understanding of auxiliary systems required for natural gas compression.

• 3+ years of experience in PLC Programming, SCADA, and/or Automation Systems.
• Fundamentals of Engineering certificate.
• Experience with OSI Pi or related analytics programs.
• Knowledge of industrial engines and compressors, natural gas transmission regulations, and company policies.
• Understanding of machinery analysis techniques, mechanical, electrical, design engineering, and pipeline systems.

This is a direct hire, salaried position with a Monday through Friday schedule, approximately 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 3:30/4:00 p.m. The role involves approximately 25% to 30% travel to compressor stations, primarily driving with occasional overnight trips. The work environment includes a combination of office/cubicle work and field support at compressor stations. Equipment provided includes a company vehicle, phone, IT equipment, tools, and a company credit card for field expenses. Relocation assistance may be available based on location and candidate circumstances. The position includes training with another reliability engineer and reliability specialist during the technical ramp-up period.

This is a Permanent position based out of Owensboro, KY.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $145000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Owensboro,KY.
