Position Overview Job No: 540398 Work type: Staff Full-Time Location: Jacksonville Campus Categories: Allied Health, Grant or Research Administration, Health Care Administration/Support Department: 30010100 - JX-DEAN-ADMINISTRATION Classification Title: Clinical Research Coordinator III Salary: $70,000- $80,000 per year The Clinical Research Office (CRO) within the Office of Research Affairs (ORA) of the College of Medicine is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator III to independently manage clinical research studies. The successful candidate will coordinate all phases of clinical trials, including feasibility assessment, startup, execution, close‑out, reporting, and financial management. The role may involve supervisory responsibilities and requires strong problem‑solving, writing, and communication skills. The coordinator will work with patients, research staff, and faculty across the greater Jacksonville area and within the UF enterprise. Responsibilities Coordinate study visits and enrollment, collect data from patient charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, and other sources. Ensure day‑to‑day compliance with specific research protocols. Perform blood draws and vitals, manage specimen collection, and ship biospecimens to appropriate sites. Assist in budget development and oversee study implementation and execution. Identify funding opportunities, organize collaborations across UF and external partners, and support development of investigator‑initiated studies. Serve as backup coordinator and provide guidance to the research team on clinical study protocols and financial management. Contribute to reporting requirements and financial oversight of clinical research studies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Background check required. Successful completion of a health assessment. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in an appropriate area and five years of experience coordinating or managing clinical research. Experience in phlebotomy and clinical research. Excellent interpersonal, prioritization, and communication skills. Proficiency in data management, superior organization, and attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
