Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting for a Forklift Operator for our client in Charleston, SC. We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support material handling operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality while maintaining smooth movement of materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and production components.
• Load and unload trailers, containers, and pallets with precision and care.
• Verify material counts and ensures accurate placement in designated storage areas.
• Conduct pre-operation safety inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Support production lines and shipping/receiving as needed.
• Always follow established safety and operational procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating a forklift in an industrial or warehouse setting.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material flow.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.
• Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $19/hr though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. Thank you for your interest in our position!
