Radiology - Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (19:00 - 05:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab, IR, or special procedures tech License: Perm license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, MO or Compact (RN), ARRT (Techs if no RCIS); RCIS (Techs if no ARRT) Must-Have: Ability to scrub open cases is a significant advantage Description:This position provides imaging and scrub coverage for the hybrid vascular room outside of normal scheduled hours. Call begins at 16:00 and ends at 07:30 Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call on Saturday and Sunday. The role supports three vascular surgeons. Procedures provided include vascular surgical cases: arterial, visceral, and venous intervention. Responsibilities include AAA stent peripheral intervention with the possibility of conversion to open surgery. The tech will scrub for the percutaneous portion; a surgical tech will be available if the case converts to open. Key tasks include setting up trays, injector and table operation, X-ray, imaging setup including DSA, and ensuring radiation safety. Technologists will scrub and assist the vascular surgeon with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other interventional and closure devices. Average call-in or late cases occur twice per week. Experience with Central Line insertion and management, circulating procedures, and familiarization with Rotablator atherectomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and Ventricular Assist Device Insertion is required. Technologists need to have inpatient and outpatient work experience, along with equipment documentation experience. Aseptic technique, airway management, and line insertion skills are essential. Experience with procedures such as TEVAR, pericardial window, mitral valve replacement, femoral popliteal bypass graft, EVAR, endovascular aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft, carotid endarterectomy, cardiomyoplasty, and atrial septal defect repair is necessary. Travel experience is required. Flexible availability for call shifts, including working every other weekend, is critical. #J-18808-Ljbffr
