Associate General Counsel

Job InfoThe Associate General Counsel will provide advice and counsel on a variety of legal matters germane to the operations of the organization. The successful candidate should demonstrate creativity in crafting legal solutions, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills along with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with General Counsel to assist in the management and execution of specialized work that might be requiredProvide advice and counsel on a broad range of legal topics to include: labor and employment law, contracts, real estate matters, subpoena responses, intellectual property, research compliance and risk management strategiesNegotiate and/or assist in the negotiations of labor, contractor, vendor or employee mattersPreparing and filing reportsDraft legal documentsConduct and coordinate legal researchCreate and conduct training workshops on a variety of legal topicsCreate and interpret corporate policiesAnalyze legal issues relating to programsOther duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceJuris Doctorate requiredMust be licensed and in good standing in one or more statesMinimum 5 years of experience in a corporate law department (desired), law firm or government agencyHave general business, commercial and or labor/employment law experience; experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts covering a wide range of commercial relationships; experience drafting and negotiating leases preferredExperience managing litigation1819 Main St, Sarasota, FL, 34236, US
