Shift Leader (GA114) - Tropical Smoothie Café Starting Wage Range: $10.00 - $13.00. Location: Valdosta, GA. Work Week: Flexible hours available. Able to work starting at 5:00 AM or until midnight if required, based on café hours and availability. Job Summary At Tropical Smoothie Café, we promote a healthier lifestyle by serving delicious food and smoothies with a touch of tropical fun. The Shift Leader guides a team in providing excellent service, maintaining standards, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Duties / Responsibilities Assist in inventory training, when necessary. Drive brand values and standards through all training and development activities. Assist with coaching, training, and development of managers and crew members. Assist with hiring & staffing needs while focusing on the critically under‑staffed cafés. Provide support for any new software rollouts and training. Ensure team member training programs are executed per TSC & DYNE standards. Interact with crew members, customers, and vendors using DYNE’s core values. Deliver “Unparalleled Hospitality” to each customer that visits our café. Be knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the café. Successfully complete the Café Basics and Certified Trainer Program. Ensure each station operates to Tropical Smoothie Café standards. Train and coach crew members during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld. Use tools to accomplish goals, manage labor, and control inventory using MyInventory. Perform any additional tasks necessary to run the café. Required Skills / Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word, and the ability to learn other computer software programs. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions. Physical Requirements Continuous standing and walking throughout each shift. Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds for tasks such as stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash. Constant face‑to‑face interactions with crew members and customers. Safely navigate a fast‑paced café environment. Ability to multi‑task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions. Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, overhead reaching, and stretching. Lifting no greater than 50 pounds. Equal Employment Opportunity (EOE).
