Whether you’re advancing your career or growing your skillset, we are here to drive you forward.Team OverviewServes as a member of the senior management team; collaborates to set strategy for the store and provides vision, direction, and motivation to the team.Role ResponsibilitiesManagement of team and processes associated with vehicle production and servicingUtilizes reports, analyzes information and monitors trends to identify opportunities in the businessDisplays financial responsibility through P&L managementIdentifies opportunities to reduce waste; identifies process improvements that are value added for customer and associate experienceInterviews, hires, trains, and promotes associates to support Service Operations and company growthChampions and implements both company and store initiatives for consistent execution and proceduresResolves customer and associate issuesFacilitates and participates in meetings and conference callsAssociate DevelopmentRequired QualificationsAbility to read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate recordsCompletion of CarMax-provided training in all areas of the Inventory, Cosmetic, and Production processesAbility to multi-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environmentEffective communication skills across departmentsAbility to make independent judgments regarding critical business decisionsAbility to identify business opportunities and suggest improvements3+ years of experience as a Manager, retail management preferredIntermediate computer skillsMay require walking or standing for an extended period of timeCombination of both indoor and outdoor environment, including working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditionsRotating schedule with shifts that will include nights, weekends, holidays and 12-hour daysOccasional travel for meetings, training, and special assignmentsFlexibility to work at multiple locations or relocateWears CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times while working in the storePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s DegreeAbout CarMaxAt CarMax, we revolutionized the used car buying experience over 30 years ago by introducing transparency and integrity into the process.
