Summary The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management processes within an organization. This role involves tracking and reconciling inventory, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring that inventory is handled appropriately. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Track and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitor stock movement, ensuring that items are received, stored, and distributed according to company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure inventory records match physical stock.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Report inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to management.
- Enter and update inventory data into inventory management systems.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including product receipts, transfers, and shipments.
- Prepare inventory reports, tracking product quantities, and stock levels.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory, preventing damage, theft, or loss.
- Inspect products for quality and condition upon receipt, documenting any issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for storage and handling of inventory.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
- Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., Certified in Production and Inventory Management - CPIM).
- Familiarity with barcode scanning and RFID technology.
- Experience or understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and solve inventory discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), particularly with spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
