CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Legal Entity : Fives North American Combustion, Inc. Country : United States State : Ohio City : Cleveland Job Family : Operations Job Type : Permanent, full-time Work Location : On-site in Cuyahoga Heights, OH (within Cleveland) Responsibilities Set up and run CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls. Follow work instructions and maintain specifications across milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grooving, and cutting operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions; troubleshoot processes; adjust and reprogram controls; sharpen and replace worn tools; comply with quality assurance procedures and processes. Perform routine maintenance, including preventive maintenance tasks, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. Read blueprints and inspect parts to ensure accuracy of work. Read mic, calipers, OD's, tool pre-setting/comparators, dial bore gauges; make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, as well as proper speeds and feeds. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Qualifications 3-5 years of CNC machine operating/set-up experience. Experience machining castings, iron castings preferred. Previous lathe and milling experience preferred. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus. Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience. Or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training.
