Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Production & Stimulation Delivery (PSD) services. This position supports high-quality service delivery by performing laboratory testing, preparing technical documentation, and providing advanced technical input during additive selection and fluid design. The technician collaborates closely with Client Support Labs, operating locations, product centers, and the InTouch repository to ensure seamless communication and continuous improvement.

 

Job Description

  • Build competency to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design for specific customer jobs.
  • Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support as needed.
  • Ensure all job-related deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests and prepare comprehensive laboratory reports prior to wellsite service delivery.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations for internal teams and external customers.
  • Keep laboratory equipment clean, calibrated, and fully operational.
  • Perform routine audits to ensure strict compliance with required laboratory standards.
  • Ensure proper disposal of all laboratory waste in accordance with regulations.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments before each task to identify and mitigate safety or quality concerns.
  • Adhere to all HSE policies, wear required PPE, and maintain up-to-date safety training.
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings and contribute to performance improvement action plans.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

 

S kills Required

  • 1–2 years of relevant laboratory or technical work experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

 

Education

  • Highschool diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $18 - $22 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
