At Acumen Fiscal Agent, we help people live more independently. We partner with state governments, health plans, and community programs to administer self-directed care programs —enabling individuals with disabilities, aging adults, and veterans to hire and manage their own caregivers while remaining in their homes and communities. Behind the scenes, we operate the systems and processes that make this possible— including payroll, tax compliance, enrollment, and electronic visit verification (EVV)

We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the launch of new programs and geographies—standing up the operations, systems, and cross-functional execution required to deliver for our customers at scale

You will lead end-to-end implementation efforts for new clients, programs, or states—owning delivery from initial handoff through go-live and stabilization

Core Responsibilities:

Drive Implementation Delivery

• Own execution of new program implementations from kickoff through go-live
• Build and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies
• Ensure readiness across operations, systems, and stakeholders

Stand Up Operations & Systems

• Coordinate end-to-end build across:
• Enrollment and onboarding
• Payroll and tax operations
• Customer service and support workflows
• EVV and supporting systems
• Ensure all functions are prepared to deliver on Day 1

Lead Cross-Functional Execution

• Drive alignment across Product, Operations, Training, Customer Service, Billing, and external stakeholders
• Clarify roles, responsibilities, and deliverables across teams
• Hold teams accountable to timelines and outcomes

Own Outcomes (Not Just Process)

• Take full accountability for delivery success
• Proactively identify and resolve blockers
• Push teams toward solutions—not just escalation
• Make decisions with imperfect information
• Maintain momentum in fast-moving, complex environments

Operate with Structure and Discipline

• Maintain clear documentation (plans, RAID logs, decisions)
• Drive alignment through structured, asynchronous communication (not meeting-heavy execution)

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in project management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent demands
• 3–7 years in project/program management, implementation, or operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, high-accountability environments

Preferred (but not required):

• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Jira, Zendesk)
• Experience in healthcare, human services, financial services, or heavily regulated environments
• Experience with implementations, client onboarding, or program launches
